ARTICLE II - PURPOSE

The purpose of this association will be to improve the teaching of the social studies, to promote 

awareness and understanding of the spectrum of contemporary and historic problems, and the 

professional well-being of its members in order to best serve the needs of students. This 

association will achieve its purpose by :

1. Encouraging research experimentation, and the professional and personal cooperation 

of its members. 

2. Holding public discussions and programs.

3. Sponsoring articles which best serve the welfare of students.

4. Sponsoring the publication of desirable articles, studies, reports and surveys.
