XIV. PRESIDENT AND REPRESENTATIVES OF AFFILIATED AND  

         ASSOCIATED COUNCILS

A. Goals and Procedures

1. Review charge from your organization.

2. Establish your goals relative to NYSCSS.

B. Relations with the Board of Directors

1. Serve as your group’s spokesperson to NYSCSS.

2. Attend Board of Directors’ meetings, or send a substitute.

3. Send Vice President the names, addresses and phone numbers of your officers by June 1.

4. Nominate, when appropriate, people for state offices, state committees.

5. Cooperate with other members of the Board of Directors in their efforts to do their jobs.

C. Communication with Members of NYSCSS

1. Send copies of all mailings to other presidents of affiliate and associated groups and the

    Executive Committee.

2. Send copies of all mailings to editors of TIME & PLACE and SSD.

3. Assist editors by submitting articles or information regularly.

4. Assist Convention Chairperson in developing sessions and programs.

5. Attend special events for local council presidents and representatives of related groups at the

    annual convention

6. Encourage membership in our council, NYSCSS and NCSS.

D. Administrative procedures

1. Maintain contact with the NYSCSS Treasurer and adhere to policies and procedures with

    regard to spending.

2. Maintain records and files including back issues.

3. Pass such files on to your successor and to the Executive Secretary.
